


This being said, I obviously started reading this book with great expectations. She makes the saints feel like real people, flaws and all. Peek’s books always have the perfect balance of action, adventure, friendship, drama, humor, and Faith. After reading her book Crusader King: A Novel of Baldwin IV and the Crusades, I was smitten. Susan just knows how to connect you to the characters and make you sympathize with them. She has an awesome writing style and a true gift of storytelling. What follows is a tale of betrayal and revenge, bravery and forgiveness, as Magnus seeks to restore his father’s vanquished kingdom to its rightful hands.Įntertaining and inspiring from start to finish, a must read for all those who thrill to learn the life of a saint we never knew existed!
